Hello there fellow bakers!

Haven’t been updating my blog in a while cause I’ve been so busy with classes these days, but I’m back with a super yummy quick & easy chocolate banana bread recipe.

This post  is especially for my amazing friend Mary who simply adores all things banana!

Me & her, we go way back

So if you would like a taste of awesomeness in the comfort of your own home, please have a go at this recipe.

You can thank me later.

 🙂

For the recipe, all you need are:

2 cups of plain flour

3 teaspoons of baking powder

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

113 g of butter (at room temperature)

3/4 cup of castor sugar ( add or reduce the amount of sugar depending on your preference)

2 large eggs

1.5 cups of bananas (smashed)+ 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

1/2 cup of chocolate chunks or chocolate chips (add more chocolates if you prefer a more chocolaty bread)

1.Preheat the oven at 350f /180c and grease loaf tin with melted butter.(You might need more loaf tins if your loaf tin is small)

2.Sift the first four ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.

3.Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. This will take approximately 5 minutes.

4.Beat in the eggs one at a time. One minute per egg.

5.Now mix in your smashed bananas and flour until just combine.Do not overmix or you will have a very dry bread.

6.Using a spatula or a wooden spoon, fold in the chocolate until incorporated.

7.Fill your loaf tins with the batter using a spoon and bake for around 35 minutes to 60 minutes. The baking time varies depending on your oven and also the size of the tins you use.I would recommend you to check at 30 minutes using a cake tester or a skewer.Poke the bread right in the middle and if it is done, it should come out clean.

8.Once your bread is done, leave it to cool for a little bit and remove it from the pan.

9.The bread is best eaten when it is still warm.

10.I like warming mine in the oven for a little bit and spread it with Nutella or butter.

11.You have now found Heaven on Earth.
